Many business owners don’t truly understand what business coaching is. Business coaching is a collaborative relationship between a business owner and a professional coach, aimed at strategically developing a successful business. Most small to medium business’s are so focused on the day to day issues that they don’t get the time to focus on their growth and the future. That is where a business coach can help. There is a good reason why top athletes use sports coaches and it is the same with any business. A coach’s role is to help you design a vision for your business that aligns with your values and goals for your life. They will make you focus on the current priorities and plan long term goals and strategies. They can also improve your business in areas that you may have overlooked or never considered.

• With COVID recovery on its way, there is no better time to drive forward with a new stratagy.
• Are you achieving what you set out to when you started your business?
• Are you ready to take things to the next level?
• Does the idea of maximizing your potential excite you?
• Do you understand that change and growth is a daily practice, and a journey?
• Are you seeking a partnership that will challenge you to think deeply?

The end goal is not just a better business but a better life, with more clarity and purpose. A business coach, unlike a consultant, does not tell you what to do, but they will work with you to find the best way forward. We create solutions with you, not for you, and we create meaningful change in both yourself and your company as well as helping you to create a vision for the future, that you can then use to plan long-term and short-term goals.

Business coaching is not consulting, and it’s not life coaching. One common misconception is that business coaches will act more like consultants and do the work of developing your business for you, they won’t. It is not about motivating the entrepreneur and discussing how he or she feels, their mindsets and emotions, that is the territory for a life coach.

Business coaches help you set direction, and provide feedback, tools, guidance and perspective. We are also the accountability factor, which is what most business owners need, someone to help them stay honest and focused on their goals.

Business coaching is best suited for creative, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who want to move their business to the next level. It doesn’t follow a preset plan, every client is different. Often, even as leaders and entrepreneurs, there is a tendency to procrastinate on tasks or avoid difficult conversations. Your coach will help you see the patterns that are hindering your growth and compassionately push you to resolve them. If you want a magic formula, someone to boost your ego, and pat you on your back, business coaching is not for you. We are not your family giving you encouragement, we are critical thought provokers.

A good business coach should be able to bring years of expertise to the table, and help you develop the skills you need to take your company to the next level. Your coach will frame questions in ways that you haven’t thought of before. They will get you to explore your own values, your Brand promise and your mission, your fears, and your mindset. You will find yourself exploring your beliefs, the things that inspire you, and the things that hold you back, and your coach knows that you have to implement the solutions yourself, if you are to get real results you want.

Just five years ago only a few small businesses used coaches, and the others considered it a luxury for the large organizations. Now lots small business’ are using coaching as part of their growth strategy.

Coaching utilization is increasing because it has become more cost effective and is achieving phenomenal results for teams and businesses. Organizations are now asking themselves if they can afford not to use coaches.
If you feel there’s a particular area of your business where you’re struggling, or would like to improve, a business coach can help you achieve this, and will cost you a lot less then you probably think.
